Movin’ on up…
It only took 3 inspections in half a day to work out which apartment was the one. And fortunately, despite some weird credit checking process which we paid dearly to bypass, we are scheduled to move in this weekend. I think you’ll understand from the photos why we cancelled all other other scheduled inspections once we saw this one.
So where is it? Our new home is in Bayswater, the City of Westminster. It’s the suburb next to Nottinghill, about 3 blocks from Hyde Park, and fortunately for me within walking distance of work!
As advertised:
An elegant three bedroom, split level apartment on the raised ground floor, located for Hyde Park and to Queensway, Paddington and Lancaster Gate Underground stations. The property includes a huge drawing room with high ceilings and south facing views over a garden square, a large kitchen with dining area, a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and a second commodious double bedroom. There’s a study or office room and a second bathroom. Access to communal gardens.
Queens Gardens is an impressive garden square located just north of Hyde Park and has access to Bayswater, Queensway and Paddington stations. The area offers a good variety of grocery stores, shops and restaurants.
Diane, Neil, Daniel and I are looking forward to the move. For Daniel and I it will mean so much more space after 3 months of no room. Our storage space at home is bigger than the room we have been living in!

Isn’t this how you imagine London living? Someone pinch me!!

Spacious loungeroom – The ceiling is about 8 miles up!

Kitchen/Dining room – way too much space in here!

The rest of the kitchen.

The upstairs bedroom. We’ll need to push those beds together or something. Maybe a new larger matress?

The downstairs bedroom. The bedrooms are both the same size, which is really handy (and unusual).

There is a small but comfortable room on the ground floor which has a severely sloped roof. I believe the faint sounds of footsteps can be heard above.

BTW, that above comment was from me. Don’t know why it didn’t automatically put my name in.
